In the next step we will configure it with username and password. For the configuration to complete successfully you need to restart your computer for the changes to propagate. Now we are nearing to the end of this configuration steps.

First of all you have to go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools then click on " Router Settings ". In the Status Bar under Computer set the Physical Interface to static and then click "OK". Now we need to change the default username. To do that click on the "start" button. You will see a message asking you to log on to Windows, click "enter". After the opening dialogue box, type the default username and hit "enter". After that we need to change the password. For that we have to click on "storage" icon, then click "ios device", click "storage tab" and then click on "disk images".

Then right click on the image and go to "manage drives" and you will see a new option named "storage devices". Click on it and go for the "mount /boot" command. In the new window type the username and password and enter. By the way you need to change your default login password.

Now we can go ahead and change the IP address from the default or static IP address. To do that we have to navigate to "boot menu". From the boot menu we can select "Network settings" and in the section for Internet Connection we should type the IP address for the router.

After that we have to hit "OK". The last step is to log into the router using our default username and password. Type the web browser and login. We can see the web browser has already detected our IP address. Then hit the back button to get back to the login page.

That is all. We successfully configure our device to use an IP address. Hope this helps. If not feel free to contact us at support center. We will help you fix any issue you may face regarding your new IP enabled router.

Changing the IP address of your wireless router is one way to make your device search for the IP through the Internet whenever it tries to connect to a wireless network. You can also configure it to use another IP address. In this case, when you logon to the Internet, your computer will look for the IP address of the gateway it was previously using. The gateway it used is either a static or dynamic IP. If you change your default username and password, you can also change the IP of your router and use it as your new login page.

The process mentioned above is just one way to configure your device to use its IP address instead of the default username and password. Another way is to use an automated tool such as cisco's WAP-OS. This software will allow you to set up and change your router's default login page and the other way you can do it yourself. However, manually doing the same is not recommended because automated tools are more likely to malfunction than configuration done by an actual human.

So what happens if you try to logon to your router via its IP address when you have reset it? It may simply show a blank page. This is because your IP was not reset during the factory reset. If you want to get back to your factory reset login, follow the next steps.
